Bus Ticket Booking via WhatsApp in Delhi to Launch Soon All Details

Delhi Metro (DMRC) recently expanded the WhatsApp based ticket booking system. This facility was first started on the Airport Express Line and then on all the lines. Now, according to a report, people living in Delhi will soon be able to book bus tickets through their WhatsApp. This service has been reportedly claimed to be launched soon. Bus ticket booking will also be similar to the DMRC facility, where people will be able to book tickets in DTC buses in advance through their WhatsApp account.

of NDTV AccordingThe Delhi government is planning to introduce WhatsApp-based bus ticketing system in the national capital on the lines of the Delhi Metro. Officials say the city government’s transport department is working on introducing a digital ticketing system for DTC and cluster buses.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) already has a WhatsApp-based ticketing system. The service was launched in May this year and was later expanded to all corridors of the rapid transit system, including the Gurugram Rapid Metro.

At present, no information has been given as to when this facility of bus ticket booking will start and how it will work, but let us tell you that to buy Delhi Metro tickets through WhatsApp, passengers have to write the text ‘Hi’ on WhatsApp and send it to +91-9650855800.

After this, a reply will come from WhatsApp. Along with the reply, you will have to choose the language. You can choose either Hindi or English. After this, you will get the options of ‘Buy Ticket’, ‘Last Journey Details’ and ‘Retrieve Ticket’. To buy the ticket, you have to choose ‘Buy Ticket’. After this, WhatsApp gives the option to buy the ticket on a new page.

UPI option is available for payment. Apart from this, payment can also be made through debit card or credit card, but for these, 0.40% and 1.10% extra charge has to be paid respectively.
