1. Xiaomi Redmi 4A
According to our review, Xiaomi Redmi 4A smartphone is the strongest contender in the under Rs 8000 category. The phone is small and light. Battery life is also good. The camera performance, however, is poor but this is the case with all phones at this price.

This 5-inch phone has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The battery is 3120 mAh and it has 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage and 1.4 GHz quad-core processor.

2. Micromax Evok Power
Micromax Evok Power, released in April, is priced at Rs 6,999. And considering the price, we found it to be a good phone during our review. The camera of the phone disappointed. But good battery life and a great design make it a better phone.

The phone has a 5 inch HD-Red display resolution, large 4000 mAh battery. This phone has 2 GB RAM and a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and 16 GB storage. This is a great choice among the best phones under Rs 8,000.

3. Coolpad Mega 2.5D
There’s a better design, great battery life, and a battery that charges extremely quickly. In our review, the Coolpad Mega 2.5D looks good, but the interface is complex and the photos are very average.

Talking about specifications, this is one of the two 3 GB RAM phones included in this list. Coolpad Mega 2.5D has 1 GHz quad-core processor and 16 GB storage. The battery is 2500 mAh, but the battery life is not as good as other phones priced below Rs 8,000.

4. Intex Elite E7
Launched at Rs 7,999, the Intex Elite E7 disappoints in the camera department, but it has a big battery. Let us tell you that the battery life of the phone was good in our review. This phone runs on stock Android version.

The phone has 3 GB RAM, 32 GB storage and runs on Android 7.0. It has a 5.2-inch display that comes with HD-ready resolution. This phone has a 1.25 GHz quad-core processor and it has a 13 megapixel rear camera and it has a 5 megapixel front camera.

5. Coolpad Mega 3
The Coolpad Mega 3 has a good display and design, but apart from great specifications, our review revealed that the performance could have been better. The camera of the phone is also very average, but the battery life is good and it is a good option in the list of phones priced under Rs 8,000.

This phone has a 5.50 inch display which is equipped with HD-ready resolution. The phone has an 8 megapixel camera. It has a 1.25 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage.

These are the five best phones under Rs 8,000 that we have selected. As we mentioned above, if your budget may be a bit high then you should definitely check out the list of best phones under Rs 10,000. Additionally, there are two more phones in this budget that we haven’t reviewed yet but are definitely worth mentioning. The first among these is the 2 GB variant of Xiaomi Redmi 4. Let us tell you that Gadgets 360 has reviewed Xiaomi Redmi 4, but we tested the 3 GB variant which is priced at Rs 8,999. If budget isn’t an issue, the Redmi 4 is a good alternative to the Redmi 4A with longer battery life and a slightly better processor.

Another phone you may also consider is the Motorola Moto E4, although we haven’t reviewed it. Available for Rs 8,450, this phone looks good and will give a near-stock experience. We used this phone for a short time and liked it. But due to lack of detailed review process, we have not included it in the main list.

These are the smartphones we think are the best under Rs 8,000 in the market. If we have missed including any phone in this list, let us and other readers know by commenting below. And if you have used any of these phones then share with us.
