The government has banned VIP darshan. This ban has currently been imposed till May 31. Apart from this, another big decision has been taken by the administration for Char Dham.

It is seen that devotees are arriving in large numbers for the Char Dham Yatra. Since the start of the Yatra from May 10, lakhs of people are reaching there for darshan due to which other people are facing problems. The crowd of people is increasing at Char Dham. There are a large number of youth among them who are coming there for adventure, videography or making Instagram reels. Because of this, other people gather at one place to see them, causing trouble to other devotees.

In such a situation, the administration has issued instructions that no one will be allowed to make reels within a radius of 50 meters near the Char Dham temples. Nor will anyone be allowed to shoot video in this area. This means that now VIP darshan and videography has been completely banned here. Offline registration in Haridwar and Rishikesh has been closed till May 19.

Chardham Yatra started from May 10. In the first 6 days itself, more than 3 lakh people reached Chardham for darshan, including foreign tourists. Registration for the yatra started on April 25. According to media reports, till Thursday 27 lakh devotees had registered for the yatra. Due to such a large crowd of people reaching there, the administration is also facing difficulties in organizing the Yatra. Therefore, the registration has been stopped for the time being.
