Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has recently launched the Honor 8C smartphone in the Indian market. Many smartphones of Xiaomi and Realme brands are quite popular in the budget up to Rs 15,000. To compete with brands like Xiaomi and Realme, Honor 8C has been launched with a starting price of Rs 11,999. The Honor 8C smartphone sports a 19:9 display panel with a traditional notch, a Snapdragon 632 processor, and a face unlock feature that uses AI with the front camera. On Wednesday, November 28, Oppo’s sub-brand Realme launched the Realme U1 smartphone equipped with MediaTek Helio P70 processor in India. The handset has a 6.3-inch waterdrop notch display which is equipped with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 25-megapixel front sensor has been provided for selfie. How different Honor 8C and Realme U1 are from each other, let us understand on the basis of price and specification.

Honor 8C vs Realme U1 price in India

honor 8c The 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant will be sold for Rs 11,999. Its 64 GB storage variant will be available for Rs 12,999. Both variants will be available in Aurora Blue, Magic Night Black, Platinum Gold and Nebula Purple colors. Honor 8C will go on sale from December 10 exclusively on e-commerce site Amazon India and HiHonor stores.

realme u1 The starting price is Rs 11,999. A variant with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage will be sold at this price. There is also a variant of the phone with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, which is priced at Rs 14,499. The sale of the phone will start exclusively on Amazon India from December 5. This phone will be available in blue, black and gold colors.

Honor 8C vs Realme U1 Specifications

The dual-SIM Honor 8C will run on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It has a 6.26-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) TFT LCD IPS display. The aspect ratio is 19:9. Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor has been used in the smartphone. Adreno 506 GPU is integrated for graphics. 4 GB RAM is available to provide speed. There are two options for inbuilt storage – 32 GB and 64 GB. Both variants will support microSD card up to 256 GB.

Now let’s talk about camera setup. Honor 8C has a dual camera setup on the back. The primary sensor is 13 megapixels. Along with this, a black and white sensor with 2 megapixel F/2.4 aperture has been provided. The handset has an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front panel. Its aperture is F/2.0. Both camera setups are equipped with LED flash. The 4000 mAh battery brings life to the phone.

Connectivity features of Honor 8C include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, fingerprint sensor and proximity sensor are part of this phone. The dimensions of the phone are 158.72×75.94×7.98 millimeters and weight is 167.2 grams.

The screen of Realme U1 is 6.3 inches. This IPS LCD display with FullHD+ resolution is equipped with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone will run on ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone comes with 90.8 percent screen to body ratio. The screen is protected by 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass. The smartphone is powered by a 2.1 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor coupled with ARM G72 GPU. There are two options based on RAM and storage – 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage.

Talking about camera setup, Realme U1 has dual rear camera setup. The primary sensor is of 13 megapixels (F/2.2 aperture) and the secondary sensor is of 2 megapixels (F/2.4). It has LED flash with it. The company has informed that Realme U1 comes with Portrait Lightning, Slow Mo Video, AI Scene Detection and Bokeh Effect. The phone also has AI face unlock feature.

A 25-megapixel camera with F/2.0 aperture is provided on the front panel. The company has talked about having backlight mode feature in the selfie camera. Apart from this, there is also mention of AI Beauty+ mode. The Smarter Groupy feature lets users enjoy customized beautification on multiple subjects in a single photo.
