Coolpad Cool 1 Dual Review in Hindi, Review of Coolpad Cool 1 Dual
Cool 1 Dual will be available in India for Rs 13,999. It will be available on online as well as offline platforms. The online version will come with 4 GB RAM. At the same time, the variant with 3 GB RAM will be available in offline stores. Rest of the specifications of both the variants will be same. The phone will compete with Moto G4 Plus (Review) and Xiaomi Mi Max (Review). Will Cool 1 Dual be liked by users? Let’s find out…
Coolpad Cool 1 Dual Design and Build
There is nothing new in the design nor does it impress much, but the build quality is trustworthy. The metal body feels sturdy and the matte finish prevents fingerprints. The quality of the buttons and their position is also good. The Cool 1 Dual is a bit heavy and also a bit thick due to the larger battery.
The 5.5-inch IPS display comes with full-HD resolution. Its bezel is not very thin. It is on all four sides of the display and is also quite wide. The viewing angles of the panel are good. Color reproduction and brightness levels are also decent. Sometimes it is not easy to read the screen in direct sunlight. To protect against scratch marks, it has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Backlit capacitive buttons are at the bottom of the navigation. The notification LED is on the top. There is a dual nano SIM tray on the left side. Sadly, the handset does not have a microSD card slot. If the inbuilt storage of Cool 1 Dual was 64 GB then there would have been no problem. But 32 GB will seem less one day.
The Cool 1 Dual has an infrared emitter on the top. There is a 3.5 mm audio socket next to it. The USB Type-C port in the phone is at the bottom. Speaker grill is also available. Fingerprint sensor is also provided on the back side. This is a good feature for the security of the phone. Its design and position are such that you will not face any problem in using it. Cool 1 Dual is another phone to come with dual cameras in its price segment. Earlier Lenovo Phab 2 Plus (Review) was launched.
In the retail box, you will get a screen guard, data cable, 10 watt power adapter, SIM ejector and instruction manual. The Cool 1 Dual has a good build and feels sturdy. If only! It would have a microSD card slot or a hybrid SIM slot only.
Coolpad Cool 1 Dual Specifications and Features
Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset has been used in Cool 1 Dual. This is a faster incarnation of the processor used in the Redmi Note 3. We received the 4GB RAM variant for review. Other specifications include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, USB-OTG, FM radio, and GPS. The phone supports 4G LTE in both SIM slots. And by going to Settings you can activate the Voice over LTE feature. We were not able to make voice calls on Jio network from the review unit. But there was no problem with the data.
When you run the software, you will be aware of LeEco’s workmanship. In Cool 1 Dual, EUI has been used instead of Cool UI. We have encountered this user interface in older LeEco phones. Both OSes are exactly the same, but LeEco’s superentertainment streaming services are not.
If you haven’t used a LeEco phone before, EUI will take some time to get used to. Because its layout is quite different from Android. Function and customization remain the same as before. You will find some useful apps pre-installed.
Coolpad Cool 1 Dual Performance
The Cool 1 Dual handles multitasking and general performance with ease. Thanks to the fast octa-core chipset and decent RAM, the phone never slowed down while launching apps or playing games. Games with powerful graphics like Asphalt 8 ran smoothly. The benchmark results of the handset were also good. You will not complain about the phone overheating. The phone definitely got hot while charging and running powerful apps.
Media playback is also good. The chipset handles 4K videos with ease. There is a speaker at the bottom of the phone. The speaker produces satisfactory sound for media and alerts. You can get better sound with headphones. The stock music player has a good design.
Cool 1 Dual has two 13-megapixel rear cameras. One of these is a color sensor and the other is used for monochrome data. When used together, you can expect better image quality and photos with less noise in low light. But during use, this pair of cameras did not give the expected results every time. There were noises in low light photos. Generally the details were also very less. Colors improved when night mode was switched on, but not by much. In daylight, we sometimes complained of over-exposure in landscape and close-up shots. Colors were good, but subjects were not sharp.
You will be able to record videos in 4K resolution. The footage came out good in daylight. But low-light videos were a bit grainy. The 8 megapixel secondary camera is enough for selfies. However, this will require suitable lighting.
The camera focuses quickly and images are stored quickly. The camera app is easy to use. You will have many options to choose from.
The Cool 1 Dual did not disappoint in terms of battery life. The 4000 mAh battery lasted 14 hours and 43 minutes in our HD video loop test. In normal use the battery lasted for about one and a half days. The phone charges fast.
our decision
Coolpad Cool 1 Dual gives good performance as per its price. Its design is good and the display is also sharp. Battery life is great and there’s enough power for a variety of tasks. The lack of a microSD card slot is annoying. If you have to buy, do it online only so you will get more RAM at the same price.
