Coolpad and Huawei’s Honor brand recently launched smartphones under Rs 15,000. We are talking about Coolpad Cool 1 Dual (Review) and Honor 6X. The Kool 1 Dual is available in India for Rs 13,999. It will be available on online as well as offline platforms. The online version comes with 4 GB RAM. At the same time, a variant with 3 GB RAM will be available in offline stores. Rest of the specifications of both the variants will be same. There are two variants of Honor 6X – one variant is priced at Rs 12,999 and the other is priced at Rs 15,999.

Coolpad Cool 1 Dual and Honor 6X come with good specifications at an affordable price. Through these two phones, the companies are keeping an eye on the budget market. Sales of both smartphones started recently.

Design and Specifications
There are fingerprint sensors on the back of both the devices. Metal and plastic have been used in these. In Honor 6X, the company has tried to do something new by giving dual camera setup. The backlit capacitive buttons on the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual are at the bottom for navigation. The notification LED is on the top. There is a dual nano SIM tray on the left side.

Talking about the specifications, Coolpad Cool 1 Dual and Honor 6X handsets have a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. The company’s own Kirin 655 chipset has been used in Honor 6X. Talking about the camera department, Honor 6X is better because of its two rear cameras of 16 megapixels and 2 megapixels. You will get an 8 megapixel sensor on the front panel. Coolpad Cool 1 Dual has two 13-megapixel rear cameras. Selfie camera is 8 megapixel. One of these is a color sensor and the other is used for monochrome data. When used together, you can expect better image quality and photos with less noise in low light. With both devices you will be able to shoot videos of 1080 pixel resolution.

Compared to the 3340 mAh battery of Honor 6X, you will get 4000 mAh battery in Redmi Note 4. Both the phones come with 4G and VoLTE connectivity. And they come with their OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

In the review, we found that Honor 6X is a reliable product like its previous variants. However, there is nothing special in it that you would want to buy it. It would have been good if Honor had provided Wi-Fi 802.11ac support, USB Type-C connector and genuine dual SIM support in this phone. To be honest, the dual camera setup is an illusion and the need for it is not felt. Performance could have been better in low light.

Coolpad Cool 1 Dual (Review) gives good performance as per its price. Its design is good and the display is also sharp. Battery life is great and there’s enough power for a variety of tasks. The lack of a microSD card slot is annoying. If you have to buy, do it online only so you will get more RAM at the same price.
