DD Kisan AI Anchors Krish Bhoomi Launching on May 26th Ninth Anniversary Read News All Details

Doordarshan channel DD Kisan works to release news and information for farmers in the country. The channel is now going to embrace the wave of Artificial Intelligence (AI). DD Kisan is preparing to bring two AI anchors on its channel. The move will make it the first government TV channel in India to introduce an AI-powered digital human replica to present news and information. AI anchors are being introduced on the occasion of completion of nine years of establishment of DD Kisan. It is noteworthy that the channel was launched on 26 May 2015.

A press of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare statement According to , the two new AI anchors have been named AI Krish and AI Bhoomi. The pair will be seen for the first time on DD Kisan on Sunday, when the channel celebrates its ninth anniversary. According to the ministry, these anchors can speak fifty Indian and foreign languages.

The ministry introduced AI anchor as a computer that can look and act like humans. It further added that AI Krish and AI Bhoomi can read news 24 hours and 365 days without taking a break or getting tired.

DD Kisan channel shares news and information about latest agricultural research, trends in agricultural markets, changes in weather and information related to government schemes at national and global level. Some of the popular shows of the channel include Krishi Darshan, Mandi Khabar, Mausam Khabar and Chaupal Charcha.

AI anchors are computer-generated digital avatars that resemble humans. These avatars run on various AI technologies that allow them to have text-to-voice generation capabilities as well as lip, eye, head and hand movements to sync with the words being said.
