Delhi Air Pollution AQI crossed 700 Primary Schools Remain Closed For Next Two Days 3 4 November Work From Home For Offices

Air pollution, which has reached dangerous levels, has made it difficult for all Delhi-NCR residents to breathe. A tremendous increase in air pollution is being seen every day in all places like Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is above 400 in almost all areas. In fact, in many areas it has crossed 500. Recently, schools in Delhi were asked to remain closed till further orders and now the government has ordered to keep the schools closed for the next two days i.e. on 3 and 4 November.

With air pollution reaching dangerous levels in the country’s capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday ordered all government and private primary schools in the city to remain closed for the next two days. Kejriwal gave this information through a post on X. He wrote in his post, “In view of the increasing levels of pollution, all government and private primary schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next 2 days.”

In recent times, the air quality index of Delhi and NCR has reached dangerous levels, some of the main reasons for which are stubble burning in neighboring states, vehicle emissions and industrial pollution.

Thursday, 9 pm, the city’s air quality index (AQI) average was 450, the worst so far this season. Whereas, AQI in RK Puram and Srinivaspuri was between 700-720. This is a tremendous jump in the last few days. The 24-hour average AQI was 370 on Wednesday, 360 on Tuesday and 340 on Monday.

Trucks have been banned in the capital since the implementation of the fourth phase of GRAP i.e. Graded Response Action Plan in Delhi. Only trucks connected to essential services are being allowed to enter. There is no ban on CNG and electric vehicles. Delhi Government has written a letter to UP and Haryana Government to divert the vehicles from Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

At the same time, private companies have been suggested to make their employees work from home. 50 percent of Delhi government employees will work from home.
