Donald Trump Warns Microsoft Google Tech Companies Hiring Ban Indian Professionals New Policy Updates

Former US President Donald Trump has once again become a topic of discussion in media, this time his strict comment has shaken the Indian tech talent and global IT industry. At the recent AI summit held in Washington, Trump clearly stated that he appeals to Microsoft, Google and other big American tech companies abroad, especially countries such as India to stop hiring hiring. According to Trump, companies should now give priority to “America First” i.e. American workers before the outside talent.

Trump accused the US tech companies that he had ignored the domestic workers by taking advantage of America’s independence, opening a factory in China, hiring talent in countries like India and parking profits in tax hasland. In his statement, he said (translated) “Our biggest tech companies have enjoyed the freedom given by the US by establishing factory in China, appointing workers in India and making profits in Ireland.”

He further simply showed that the government running in his leadership wants companies to give priority to the US citizens compared to other countries. He said, “We want American tech companies to be fully committed to America. Give priority to America – that’s just our demand.” Trump also added, “Due to President Trump, he (old) days are over.”

On the occasion of AI Summit, Trump signed three special orders:

• Data Centers and Infrastructure: Promoting local data centers and tech structure to American AI companies.
• Federal AI Funding: Companies that will carry forward American intelligence will get funding from the government.
• Global Export Support: Promise to promote American invented AI tools in global market.

Concern for Indian IT professionals

After these statements by Trump, there will be restlessness among the world’s software engineers, developers and thousands of IT sector, especially about H1B visa process and international jobs. American tech companies have so far depended on a large number of skilled Indian workers. Trump’s “america first” thinking, intensity outsourcing anti -policy and emphasis on local employees, all of which can have a direct impact on Indians.
