DTC bus tickets book through WhatsApp know how to book your ticket

WhatsApp on Wednesday launched WhatsApp-based QR ticketing service for DTC passengers in Delhi NCR. The objective of this ticketing system is to simplify the transport experience for passengers. This provides the facility to book and buy tickets from anywhere within WhatsApp chatbot. DTC is the first state bus network to implement this facility for passengers across the region.

How to use the service

Passengers can use this service by sending ‘Hi’ on WhatsApp to +91 8744073223 or by scanning the QR code. It is available in both English and Hindi. Currently, WhatsApp Chatbot allows passengers traveling on DTC and DIMTS routes to book single journey QR tickets. For riders traveling repeatedly on the same route, the chatbot will provide a quick purchase feature, reducing the time spent in selecting the destination and starting point in the chatbot.

How many tickets can a rider buy?

Through the WhatsApp based ticketing system, per transaction a rider can purchase a maximum of 6 tickets directly using his preferred UPI payment option inside the chat window. Ravi Garg, Business Messaging Director, Meta in India, said, “Lakhs of commuters every day depend on local transport services for their daily journey. We are pleased to introduce DTC Chatbot, which aims to transform the travel experience and provide convenient solutions for travelers in Delhi NCR. “The launch of DTC’s QR ticketing service through WhatsApp helps in enhancing the customer experience.”
