Elon Musk Announces

Elon Musk has announced that X will now offer X Premium and X Premium+ paid subscriptions to select users for free without any additional cost. However, according to information shared by the company’s CEO, not all X users will get this benefit. Premium subscription plans on X reduce ads on the timeline, while users with premium subscriptions also get access to Grok, an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot created by startup xAI.

In a post on X, Musk said that all accounts on the platform that have “more than 2,500 verified subscriber followers” will get the features available with X Premium membership. In India, X Premium membership is priced at Rs 650 per month, with an annual membership costing Rs 6,800.

Meanwhile, the CEO of the platform also said that users who have more than 5 thousand verified subscriber followers will get access to the features available with the X Premium + subscription, which is currently priced at Rs 1,300 per month, while it is Rs 13,600 for a year. It is worth noting that all the 4 subscriptions signed up from the Android and iOS apps become quite expensive. Musk has not given any reason for access to X Premium and X Premium + features for select users, but this decision comes after a report revealed that fewer people were using the microblogging service. The platform has denied these claims.

This means you’ll need 2,500 followers who have paid for a Premium or Premium+ membership to take advantage of these features, which also include a blue verification check mark and the ability to monetize posts. X Premium shows fewer ads to subscribers, while those with a Premium+ subscription see no ads at all. Both subscriptions offer the ability to edit or undo posts, higher character limits, the ability to post longer videos, background video playback, video downloads, and access to the Grok AI chatbot.
