Those who create a new account on Twitter will have to pay money. Users who do not pay will only be able to read the content. X argues that by doing this it wants to deal with bots and spammers.

Axe’s support handle said that testing of ‘Not a Bot’ has started in New Zealand and the Philippines. It said that new, unverified accounts will have to pay a fee of $1 per year to tweet and interact with other posts. However, this testing will not affect existing users.

The company already has an ‘X Premium’ subscription model. For this, the company is charging up to Rs 900 per month. The charge for the web version is Rs 650 per month. For the annual subscription, Android and iOS users have to pay up to Rs 9,400 every year.
