First glimpse of LG X screen
During the launch event, we came face to face with the LG X screen. Let us share this experience with you. This device will be available in black, white, pink and gold colors. We got a chance to spend some time with the black color variant. The front panel of the new LG X has not one but two screens. Apart from this, this handset is equipped with ‘Always on Display’ feature.
On holding the LG Only 120 grams, in this respect the LG X screen is much better than other smartphones in its segment. The LG X screen has a 4.93-inch primary display. The main TFT LCD display is HD 720×1280 pixels resolution. The HD display is very vibrant and outputs bright colors.
The second display of the X Screen is 1.76 inches and has a resolution of 80×520 pixels. Due to its smaller screen compared to other phones, battery consumption will be less. The secondary screen is above the main display.
The good thing about the second screen is that it is easily accessible. This phone has four quick tools for sound profile, Wi-Fi, flashlight and SOS.
LG said at the launch event that the X Screen is the first smartphone in India to be launched with the SOS feature. You must be aware that from next year every phone in India will come with SOS feature (panic button). The SOS feature can be accessed via the second display on the LG X screen, or by pressing the power button five times in sequence. According to LG, the SOS mode automatically sends an alert to an emergency contact specified by the handset user. Sadly, we were not able to test this feature of the phone due to lack of active SIM card.
In the limited time we spent with the LG X screen, we felt that its second screen was of great use. This will help in saving user’s time. Apart from this, Always On Screen will always display your name or other text.
The rear part of the handset is made of glass. At first glance we were reminded of the LG Nexus 4. The difference is that the LG X screen has plain glass while the Nexus 4 comes with a glossy design. The handset has a power button and hybrid SIM slot on the right side. Users can use two Nano SIM cards or one Nano SIM card and microSD card at a time. There is a volume button on the left side. The 3.5 mm audio jack, charging port and speaker grill are at the bottom.
The phone comes with LG’s custom skin based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The interface of LG X screen is very simple and easy. We didn’t have any trouble finding any features. Dialer, messages, camera, gallery and chrome have been given place on the home screen. LG has used on-screen navigation buttons instead of capacitive buttons in this phone.
Like older LG dual SIM phones, this one also has an on-screen button for users to easily access SIM management settings. It has a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset with 2 GB RAM. Inbuilt storage is 16 GB.

The 13-megapixel rear camera took decent photos in normal indoor lighting. Low light photos can be said to be slightly better than average. We managed to take good quality selfies with the 8-megapixel front camera. You will find many modes and options for the rear camera in the camera app. We found that the rear camera focused quickly which is another highlight. However, we will have to wait for the detailed review of the LG X Screen smartphone to know its performance and camera quality.

At first glance, the price of the LG The downside is the use of an HD display instead of full-HD. And fingerprint scanner will also have to be included in this list. But the ‘Always on Second’ screen feature of the phone will be successful in garnering accolades. Apart from this, SOS mode is also a feature worth noting.
We believe that the biggest challenge for LG’s new We will have to wait a bit to know the performance of LG X screen in the Indian market.
