Four Asteroid Upto 1500 Feet Size Passing Near Earth Today April 26 With 62600 Kmph Speed NASA JPL Details
NASA JPL Asteroid Watch Program AccordingToday, on April 26, 4 large asteroids will pass near the Earth, whose size will range from 52 feet to 1,500 feet. Starting with the smallest asteroid, the 52 feet 2023 HL3 asteroid, which is about the size of a house, will pass close to Earth today. During its passage, its nearest point to the Earth will be 11,40,000 kilometers and speed will be 50,688 km per hour.
The 79 feet (as big as an airplane in size) 2023 HP4 asteroid will pass at a distance of 57,30,000 kilometers from the Earth. While passing close to the Earth, its speed will be 25,632 km per hour. The third asteroid will be 120 feet larger, which NASA has named 2023 GG1. It will pass at a distance of 48.10 lakh kilometers from the Earth and at that time its speed will be 35,964 km per hour.
The largest asteroid of all four will be 2006 HV5, which is reported to be 1,500 feet across. You can compare it in this way that it will be approximately equal to 3 Statue of Unity. While roaring closest to the Earth, its speed will be 62,712 km per hour and its nearest point to the Earth will be 24.20 lakh kilometers.
The good thing is that these four asteroids will pass safely close to the Earth. NASA’s Asteroid Watch program continuously tracks these celestial bodies and comets. Of these, two asteroids are Apollo, one is Amor and the largest asteroid is a near earth object of the Aten category.
