French Hacker Claims, the website of the company making Chingari app contains malware.

However, on Twitter, Chingari co-founder Sumit Ghosh Post Did: (Translated) ” Thanks for making me aware of wp issue, Chingari was introduced under Globusoft and built by us, did not compromise in any way with the security of Chingari app/website and our users. It is stored safely and securely on AWS. We will fix the WP issue soon.” he adds “The Globussoft website and the Chingari app have very different security/engineering teams behind them and are completely unrelated. Chingari will soon be an independent company.”
Baptist’s Post According to the report, a drop script has been inserted into the site to redirect users and contains a Report Contains where the redirect goes. Responding to Baptiste, another Twitter user (CitizenK, whose bio says he is a UI developer) wrote: wrote Bitdefender found cryptojacking malware on Globussoft’s website. Additionally, using a site check by website security service Sucuri, they found that the website contained multiple malware. Gadgets 360 investigated it ourselves and after testing it on several websites including Chingari’s website, it found that the warning came only on the Globussoft site.
It should be noted that the presence of this malware does not point to any issues with the Chingari app, although Baptiste wrote in his last post on the topic that ‘it raises questions’.
Chingari app was released on Google Play and App Store and till last week it had been downloaded more than 25 lakh times. This free app is very similar to TikTok, but reviews on Google Play describe the app as slow, with issues like only showing certain videos and crashing from time to time. It seems that it is getting a lot of support because the app is made in India. A review on Google Play states, (translated) “Downloaded to promote Indian developers, but compared to TikTok it still has a long way to go to become mainstream.”
