Google Pay Paytm PhonePe UPI Service May Not Work on these mobile number from 1 April

Why NPCI took these steps
According to NPCI, inactive mobile numbers linked to UPI ID are a threat to security. In such a situation, if users change their mobile numbers without updating their bank details, then they may be in danger because the re -assigned numbers can still be linked to the previous UPI Acount. If such numbers get such numbers in the coming time, then fraud can misuse them. In such a situation, NPCI has asked banks and digital payment apps like Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm to change the inactive numbers from the UPI network.
Such users will be affected
If your mobile number has changed and is not updated with the bank, then such users will lose their access. Those who have inactively inactively inacted without updating their bank to their bank. Those whose mobile numbers are inactive, re-assign or deactivated may have to face a temporary problem in the UPI service, until they update their records with their bank. UPI users with re-assured mobile numbers may have to face problems.
How to rescue
If you want your UPI account go on, then you have to make sure that the mobile number linked to the bank account is active. If not, users should activate them as soon as possible. Users should update their mobile number from UPI with link bank account. If the mobile number linked to UPI ID is inactively inacted, then UPI users can update their bank records by taking a new number to avoid obstruction in UPI service.
