Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold to Launch in India on August 14 with Pixel 9 Pro

Google is going to organize its hardware event on August 13. The tech giant has released a new teaser video for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, almost a month ahead of its “Made by Google” event, revealing the design and name of its upcoming foldable Android phone. The teaser has revealed an off-white color option for the foldable. It seems to have a dual-level rear camera design. Especially the arrival of Pixel 9 Pro Fold in India has been confirmed. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to be an upgrade over last year’s Pixel Fold.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Design

Soon after revealing the Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google released a teaser confirming the design and name. Video Pixel 9 Pro Fold is shown in. The smartphone is shown with the tagline “Foldable Phone Built for the Gemini Era” and an AI chatbot can be seen in the video. The foldable seems to have a primary camera in a rectangular bump and the lens is positioned vertically in a dual-level design. The teaser video reveals the external display of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and its hinge mechanism. The cover display has a hole punch cutout. It is displayed in an off-white finish that resembles Google’s signature porcelain shade. More accurate information will be revealed upon launch.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be launched in India

Google has confirmed that it will bring the Pixel 9 Pro Fold to India. Whereas the previous model Google Pixel Fold was not launched in the country. The book-style foldable smartphone will be launched in the country along with Pixel 9 Pro on August 14, a day after the global launch event.

In a post on X, Google India wrote that “Out with the old, in with the Fold, Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is coming to India for the first time. A black color option of the smartphone is shown in the post. Google’s first foldable smartphone Pixel Fold has not yet arrived in India. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold 2 is expected to compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, OnePlus Open and Tecno Phantom V Fold when it arrives in India.
