Google roll out Google Pay SoundPod audio devices small merchants in India amid Paytm crisis

Google recently revealed that it has partnered with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) so that UPI payments can be made from outside India as well.
After Paytm, PhonePe and BharatPe, Google is the latest company to launch Soundpod in India. Paytm was the first to start receiving payment alerts through Soundbox. The company launched its Soundbox in 2020 when the corona epidemic was spreading across the world including the country.
Google has said that merchants can sign up to use the audio notification service through the Google Pay for Business app. Money Control AccordingFor this, the company offers daily plan and annual plan. After choosing the plan, the service can be used by starting the daily settlement option. In the daily plan, the merchant will have to pay a one-time fee which is Rs 499. After which five rupees will be deducted from the settlement account every day for 25 days in a month. In the annual plan, Rs 1499 will be deducted from the merchant’s settlement account.
The Google Pay SoundPod audio alert service will be available in 6 Indian languages apart from English including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, and Gujarati.
