Last week, Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom company Jio had announced additional data and a new plan to its users. Changes in these Jio plans mean that now users will get more data and validity. Whether you are a smartphone or Jio phone user, you will definitely get something for you under Jio Republic Day 2018 offer. Given that these plans have been subject to change for promotions, it is not yet clear for when these benefits will be available. But as of now, Jio users are free and can avail the benefits of these packs. Know about the new plan introduced by the country’s fourth largest telecom company.

Jio plan of Rs 49
This plan is especially for Jio phone users and under it, 1 GB data and unlimited calls are available for 28 days. Although the data available in this plan is less, it is the cheapest plan offered by the company with a validity of 28 days, which is designed for its 4G feature phone customers.

Jio plan of Rs 149
The Rs 149 plan was launched in early January. At the time of launch, this pack offers 1 GB 4G data per day and other free features. Under the Jio Republic Day 2018 offer, customers get 1.5GB data for 28 days along with free unlimited calls, free roaming and free access to the company’s apps.

Rs 198 plan
Under these packs, you get 1.5 GB data per day for the first 28 days, unlimited calls in free roaming and free access to Jio apps. After the update, users will get 2GB high-speed data per day while other features remain the same. This plan is now priced at Rs 299 and both have similar features.

Jio plan of Rs 349
The validity of the Rs 349 pack is 70 days and earlier it provided 1 GB 4G data per day. But now Jio is offering 1.5 GB data per day. Overall, now in this plan of Jio, 105 GB data is available instead of 70 GB. Apart from this, other facilities like free unlimited calls, free roaming and access to the company’s app are available.

Jio plan of Rs 398
The Rs 398 Jio plan was launched with 1.5 GB data for 70 days. But from the night of 26 January, 2 GB data per day started being available in this pack. Which means that the user now gets 140 GB data instead of 105 GB data.

Customers purchasing Rs 399 recharge before January 26 get 1 GB data per day for 84 days. But now, customers purchasing this recharge pack will get 1.5 GB data per day. That means 126 GB data is being given during the total period of validity.

Jio plan of Rs 448
Like the other packs which have 1.5 GB data per day recharge pack, the Rs 448 Jio plan offers 2 GB data per day. The validity of this pack is 84 days, so now the user will get 168 GB data instead of 126 GB data.

Jio plan of Rs 449
As part of Jio’s Republic Day 2018 offer, the Rs 449 recharge pack now offers 1.5GB data per day with a validity of 91 days. That means now in this pack, customers get 136.5 GB data with an increase of 50 percent. Whereas earlier 91 GB data was available in this pack.

Jio plan of Rs 498
This is the most expensive plan of Reliance Jio under Republic Day 2018 Offer. In the Jio plan of Rs 498, now 2 GB data is available for 91 days whereas earlier with the same validity, 1 GB data was being offered per day in this pack. Customers will now get a total of 182 GB data for 91 days instead of the earlier total of 136.5 GB data.

It is worth noting that to avail the benefits of these new plans, you will have to wait till the validity of the existing plan ends. Only then will you be able to enjoy the new additional data benefits. For example, if your existing plan expires on 15th February, you can buy a new plan under the Republic Day 2018 offer but you will get its benefits from 16th February. Apart from this, you can switch to the new recharge pack by going to MyJio app, but in this case your existing plan will get cancelled.
