Honda Cars Launches its ‘Made-in-India’ Elevate SUV in Japan

Honda Cars has sold more than 30,000 units in the last six months in the country. a media Report According to , earlier the unit of Honda Cars in the country has been exporting its vehicles to countries like Bhutan, Nepal and South Africa. The company has also added Japan to this list with the Elevate SUV.
Earlier this year, Honda Cars had increased the price of Elevate SUV by Rs 58,000. This is the first increase in its price since its launch last year. Its price will start from Rs 11.58 lakh. The price of its top-end dual-tone variant has increased to Rs 16.48 lakh. This SUV is getting good response from customers. Elevate has a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine. It generates power of 119 BHP at 6,600 rpm and torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. It has a 10.25 inch LCD infotainment system with Apple CarPlay. Wireless charging facility is also available in Elevate.
Recently the company had said that in the last three months, Elevate’s share in its total sales has been more than 50 percent. The CVT variant of the Elevate SUV is in greater demand. It competes with Hyundai’s Creta, Kia’s Seltos, Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara, Volkswagen’s Taigun and MG Motor’s Astor. More than 90 percent of its components have been locally sourced. Its manufacturing is being done in the company’s factory at Tapukara in Rajasthan. It has been made available in Phoenix Orange Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Meteoroid Gray Metallic colors. It has the option of six speed manual transmission and CVT.
