Honda Elevate Getting Strong Demand, Its Sale touches 20,000 Units

The new Elevate SUV from Honda, one of the largest automobile companies, has received a strong response from the customers. Sales have exceeded 20,000 units since its launch in September. It has also helped the company grow its sales by 11 percent year-on-year between September and November.

Honda said that Elevate’s share in its total sales in the last three months has been more than 50 percent. The CVT variant of the Elevate SUV is in greater demand. Yuichi Murata, Director (Marketing and Sales), Honda Cars, said, “We are excited by the success of Elevate. It has exceeded our expectations. This shows the trust and preference of customers in the company. We have reduced the waiting period of Elevate. To reduce it, its production has been increased.” In the SUV segment, it competes with Hyundai’s Creta, Kia’s Seltos, Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara, Volkswagen’s Taigun, MG Motor’s Astor and Skoda’s Kushaq. Its prices range between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).

More than 90 percent of the components of the Elevate SUV have been locally sourced. Its manufacturing is being done in the company’s factory at Tapukara in Rajasthan. It is also being exported from the country. A lot of space has been given in its interior. It is available in Phoenix Orange Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Meteoroid Gray Metallic colors. Elevate has a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine. It generates power of 119 BHP at 6,600 rpm and torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. It has six speed manual transmission and CVT option.

It has features like 10.25 inch touchscreen system, electric sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7 inch semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless charging. Apart from this, ventilated front seat, door-panel mounted ORVM, LED headlights, connected LED lights are provided. Elevate comes with features like six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, hill descent control, advanced driver assistance system, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and high beam assist.
