How to activate UAN on EPFO ​​website

Universal Account Number (UAN) is used by employees for deposits, withdrawals and other facilities of their Provident Fund (EPF). How to find your Universal Account Number (UAN)

Normally your Universal Account Number is written on your pay slip. If the number is not present on your pay slip, contact the finance department of your company.

Activate your UAN like this

If you have not checked your PF balance till date, then go to the website of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) and activate your UAN by following the steps given below.

1) First of all Employees Provident Fund Organization website Go to and click on Activate Universal Account Number (UAN) at the bottom right side of the page.
2) After entering Universal Account Number, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and Captcha text, click on Get Authorization Pin.
3) You will receive OTP on mobile.
4) After this, verify all the details on the EPFO ​​page and then click on I Agree.
5) After this enter the OTP and click on Validate OTP to activate your Universal Account Number (UAN).

After following the steps mentioned above, your Universal Account Number (UAN) will be activated and you will receive the password on your mobile. You will have to wait six hours before you can log in to your account. You will be able to easily check PF balance six hours after the activation of the Universal Account Number.
