fastboot method
1) Make a backup of your smartphone and download Fastboot ROM.
2) Before fastboot the user has to keep the bootloader unlocked. Visit this page to know about detailed information and process.
3) As soon as you unlock the bootloader you have to go into fastboot mode. For this, first switch off your device. After this press the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously. After this the phone will power on with the fastboot screen.
3) If the user wants, he can connect his phone to the personal computer through USB. After this, use the refresh button in the Flash Tool app, then the device ID will start appearing. If it doesn’t, download Mi PC Suite. After this, extract the downloaded Fastboot ROM to a folder on the personal computer.
4) After this open the MiFlash tool. Now select Clean in the right side corner.
5) After this click on Select and now browse to the folder in which you have extracted the Fastboot ROM. Now click on Flash.
6) Flashing of your phone will start. This should take 3-5 minutes depending on your personal computer and device. Users should note that they cannot remove their device during flashing.
