How to hide your personal email address with Apple’s Hide My Email feature

In this article, we are telling you step-by-step how you can use Hide My Email in your Apple devices.
Before starting with the steps, note that the Hide My Email feature is a part of iCloud+. iCloud+ is a paid subscription service that starts at Rs 75 ($0.99 in the US) per month.
This feature is an extension of the existing Sign in with Apple feature that the Cupertino company launched in 2019. It is limited to services that require an Apple ID to sign up. But in contrast, the Hide My Email feature gives users randomly generated email addresses that can be used anywhere. Users can manage or deactivate the already existing random email addresses.
How to set up Hide My Email
Once you have iCloud+ on your iPhone or iPad, here’s how you can set up Hide My Email:
- Go to Settings and tap on your name at the top.
- Now iCloud > Hide My Email Select the .
- Now + Create a new address This will let Apple do that for you. @icloud.com will create random email addresses with your username that you can use to sign in to a new site or app. Emails you receive on these email addresses will be delivered directly to your personal inbox.
- If you like auto generated email then Continue Tap . If not, you can generate another email address.
- Now you will need to create a label for this address so that you can remember in the future how you use the email. You can also create a note for this.

Your random email address is now set. You can copy it whenever you want to use it on your iPhone or iPad by going to the Hide My Email settings.
How to manage or delete email addresses created using Hide My Email
You can also manage or delete randomly generated email addresses –
- Settings Go in and tap your name at the top.
- Now iCloud > Hide My Email Select the .
- Now tap the label of the random email address you want to manage.
- If you want to change the address label, select the label option. You Note You can also create a note for this by tapping on it. If you want to delete this address then Deactivate your email address You can do this by tapping on .
In September, Apple introduced Hide My Email with iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2, released this month, have extended this feature to the Mail app. After this, users can now create a random email address directly when sending emails from the preloaded app.
