How to hide your personal email address with Apple’s Hide My Email feature

Before we begin the steps, note that the Hide My Email feature is a part of iCloud+. iCloud+ is a paid subscription service that starts at Rs 75 ($0.99 in the US) per month.
This feature is an extension of the already existing Sign in with Apple feature which was launched by the Cupertino company in 2019. This is limited to services that require an Apple ID to sign up. But in contrast, the Hide My Email feature gives users randomly generated email addresses that can be used anywhere. Users can manage pre-existing random email addresses or deactivate them.
How to set up Hide My Email
After you have iCloud+ on your iPhone or iPad, you can set Hide My Email like this-
- Go to Settings and tap on your name at the top.
- Now iCloud > Hide My Email Select .
- Now + Create new address Tap on. With this Apple is for you @icloud.com It will create random email addresses with . that you can use to sign in to a new site or app. The emails you receive at these email addresses will be received directly into your personal inbox.
- If you prefer auto-generated email Continue Tap on. If not, you can generate another email address.
- Now you’ll need to create a label for this address so you can remember how to access your email in the future. You can also prepare a note for this.

Your random email address is now set up. You can copy it anytime you want to use it on iPhone or iPad by going to Hide My Email settings.
How to manage or delete email addresses created using Hide My Email
You can also manage or delete randomly generated email addresses-
- Settings Go in and tap your name at the top.
- Now iCloud > Hide My Email Select .
- Now tap the label of the random email address you want to manage.
- If you want to change the label of the address, select the Label option. You Notes You can also create a note for it by tapping on it. If you want to delete this address only then Deactivate email address You can do this by tapping on .
In September, Apple introduced Hide My Email with iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2, released this month, extend this feature to the Mail app. After this, users can now directly create random email addresses while sending emails from the preloaded app.
