How to link Aadhaar number with IRCTC account

Till now we and you were able to book a maximum of 6 online tickets in a month from our IRCTC account. But Indian Railways has increased the monthly limit of booking online tickets from 6 to 12. To do this, you have to link your IRCTC account with Aadhaar Card. How can IRCTC account be linked to Aadhaar card? Let’s find out.

How to link IRCTC with Aadhaar

1. First of all go to the IRCTC website. After this, log in with your ID. After this go to the My Profile tab.

2. Select Aadhaar KYC here.

3. After this, on the next page you will be asked for your Aadhaar number.

4. Now a one-time password will be sent to the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar Card. This OTP will be used for verification. You will see some details of your Aadhaar card at the bottom of the page. After this, click on Verify shown below.

5. After this a message will come…”KYC details have been successfully updated.

6. But this is not enough to book more than 6 tickets in a month.
Railways says that to book a ticket, a passenger’s profile should also be verified with Aadhaar. The master list will be useful for you here.

7. The master list is also available in the My Profile tab. Here you have to update the master list by providing the passenger’s name and Aadhaar card details.

8. If the name of any passenger is already in the master list then edit his/her profile and enter the Aadhaar number in the ID.

9. Please note that the masterlist has to be updated before booking tickets online. Only then will you be able to book more than 6 tickets.

That’s it. Now you will be able to book more than 6 tickets from IRCTC website every month in this way.
