Airtel is one of the largest telecom operators in India according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). As per data from January 31, 2021, Airtel ranks second in market share in terms of its wireless subscriber base. Recently, Airtel added 5.8 million new subscribers which is the highest among the other three major telecom operators Reliance Jio, Vodafone, and BSNL. Airtel provides many services to its customers. One of them is its caller tune or Airtel’s Hello Tune service. Like caller tune, Hello Tune also lets the caller listen to the music that you set in place of dial tune or ringing tune on your call.

Airtel customers can set a Hello Tune through the Wynk Music app. Customers who have unlimited prepaid plans can set Hello Tune for free. Other customers have to pay a monthly fee of Rs 19 for Hello Tune. We have prepared a step by step guide for you to set Hello Tune on your Airtel number.

How to activate Hello Tune/caller tune for Airtel prepaid and postpaid customers

First of all you Google Play Store Or app Store Download the free Wynk Music app from.
Register there with your Airtel phone number and enter the OTP received.
Now on the home screen, click on the Airtel Hellotunes icon at the top right.
Here you can find your favorite song or music whatever you want to use as ringing tone.
Now tap on that song or music and click on Activate.

Now your Hello Tune is set. It is valid till the 30th day of activation. Whereas users with unlimited plan can renew it again after 30 days for free. You can also change the set song or music whenever you want.

Airtel Hello Tunes cannot be activated through USSD code or helpline number. Therefore, this process becomes a bit complicated for users who do not have a 4G smartphone or those who have a feature phone. For this, such customers have to insert their SIM card in a smartphone. After setting the Hello Tune through the Wink Music app there, you can again insert the SIM card in your feature phone or non-smartphone.

To remove Hello Tunes from your Airtel number, tap on the hamburger menu at the top left of the Wink Music app. Then click on ‘Manage Hello Tunes’. After that click on the three dots in front of Current Hello tune. Click on Stop Hellotune there and finally click on Done. Now Hello Tune has been removed from your call.
