How to update your Aadhaar Card address without address proof

Address validation letter will be required to update the address. For this, an online request has to be filed and then it is possible with the help of address verifier.

This service is especially beneficial for those who have recently changed their house. If you want to update the address of your new house in the Aadhaar card, then this facility can be used.

Who can be an address verifier?
The address verifier can be a family member, friend, relative, landlord, anyone who will let you use their address as proof. The address can only be updated if you fulfil the following requirements:

1) Mobile numbers of both Resident and Address Verifier should be registered in their respective Aadhaar.
2) Both Resident and Address Verifier will require One-Time-Password (OTP).
3) After this, OTP will come on your registered number, enter the OTP and log in.
4) After logging in, you will get the option to share verifier details. Here you have to enter the Aadhaar number of the address verifier.
5) The verifier will receive the link via SMS on their registered mobile number. The verifier will then click on the link and will receive another OTP message for verification. Enter the OTP and captcha to verify.
6) After verification, you will receive a service request number via SMS. After this, log in by entering the request number, preview the address, edit the local language (if required) and then click on the submit button.
7) After this you will receive a letter, Address Validation Letter with secret code will be posted to the address of the verifier.
8) After this, once again go to the UIDAI website and click on the Proceed to Update Address link. After this, log in by entering Aadhaar and then click on Update Address via Secret Code, here you have to enter the secret code. Check the new address and then click on the Submit button.
