Huawei Launches Mate Xt Tri-Fold Smartphones in International Market, Up to 10.2 Inch OLED Screen, Price, Features

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has launched the triple fold smartphone Mate Xt Ultimate Design in the international market on Tuesday. In September last year, this smartphone was introduced in China. The screen of the Mate Xt Ultimate Design is 10.2 inches on completely unfolding.

The first triple fold smartphone has a price AED 12,999 (about Rs 3,07,600) for the only variant of 16 GB of Ram + 1 TB of RAM + 1 TB in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Huawei has not given information about the chipset used in the international version of Mate Xt Ultimate Design. Its Chinese variants had Kirin 9010 chipset. It runs on EMUI 14.2 out-of-the-box. This smartphone has been made available in red and black colors.

The screen of this triple fold smartphone is 10.2 inch (3,184 x 2,232 pixels) on unfolding. Flexible Ltpo OLED of Mate XT Ultimate Design is 7.9 inches (2,048 x 2,232 pixels) and 6.4 inches (1,008 x 2,232 pixels) on folding one over folded once (2,048 x 2,232 pixels) and second time. This smartphone has a 50 -megapixel camera on the outwards with optical image stabilization (OIS) and aparturcar between f/1.2 and f/4.0. It is accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 apartur and a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5.5x optical zoom and f/3.4 aparture. It provides options for 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C ports for connectivity. The weight of this smartphone is about 298 grams and the size is 156.7 x 219 x 3.6 mm for completely unfolding.

It has an 8 megapixel camera for selfie and video calls on its display. Huawei can give a tough competition to South Korea’s Samsung in the market with a rapidly growing foldable smartphones with this smartphone. The company’s sales in China have increased rapidly in the last few months. American devices maker Apple also plans to bring a clamshell style foldable device. The company can also launch a triple-folded smartphone. Recently, Tecno also displayed a triple-folded concept smartphone.
