Huawei Nova Flip to Launch Next Month, Square Cover Screen, Dual Cameras

Chinese electronics company Huawei’s clamshell foldable smartphone Nova Flip will be launched next month. The company has revealed its design. It has a square shaped external screen and dual rear cameras. It is shown in four colors. With this the company can also introduce new tablets and laptops.

Huawei has said in a teaser video posted on China’s messaging platform Weibo that this smart fone Will be launched in China on August 5. It will run on HarmonyOS and will be the first flip smartphone in the Nova series. In this teaser video it is shown in green colour. It has a flat display and slim bezels. This smartphone has a square shaped external screen. This is different from the circular design of the company’s Pocket series smartphones. The Nova Flip has two vertically aligned cameras at the top right corner of the cover display.

Its main display has a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. Its power key can also function as a fingerprint scanner. Its SIM slot is visible below. It will be made available in white, pink and black colors. This smartphone may have a metal frame. Apart from Nova Flip, the company can also introduce MateBook GT 14 and MatePad Pro 12.2. In February this year, Huawei launched the foldable smartphone Pocket 2.

Recently, tipster Fixed Focus Digital had said in a post on Weibo that Huawei plans to launch a tri-fold smartphone by the end of this year. This could be the world’s first triple-folding smartphone. However, it is unlikely to be manufactured in large numbers. This smartphone can be expensive. This tipster says that with this device the company can showcase its progress in technology. Earlier, a leak had suggested that Huawei’s triple-folding smartphone could come with a 10-inch display. It can be given a dual-hinge, which will provide three separate screen sections. One of these sections can fold inward on either side. Crease control is also likely to be better in this.
