Huawei Tri-Fold Folding Leaked Reportedly Launch in September
From a report by MyDrivers AccordingHuawei CEO Richard Yu confirmed the upcoming launch of the foldable. The report said Yu told an executive while taking delivery of his Hongmeng Jixing EV in Shanghai that the foldable device he has been showcasing for the past few weeks will be launched in September this year.
This information may come as a bit of a surprise as most smartphone makers are still perfecting their book-style foldables. Meanwhile, Google finally launched its first globally available foldable Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Huawei has been on top of the foldables game lately, as it prepares to launch book-style foldables that rival normal flagship phones in terms of weight while being slimmer. The upcoming Honor Magic V3 is expected to break most records in terms of slim and weight.
Talking about the tri-fold seen in the CEO’s hands in several blurred spy shots, when folded it looks a little thicker than most book-style foldables. However, due to its two hinges it appears to open up into a larger tablet-like device. According to previous leaks, this display is said to be as big as 10 inches.
Huawei has recently launched its Honor Magic V3 in China which is the slimmest production foldable currently available. If anything the global version is expected to be very similar with minor changes. The smartphone is just 9.2 mm slim when folded and 4.35 mm slim when unfolded. It also weighs 226 grams and is slightly heavier than the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, which weighs 221 grams.
