Hubble Space Telescope in safe mode due to gyroscope issue says nasa

Report According to , on November 23, the Hubble telescope automatically went into safe mode. This happened because one of its three gyroscopes was giving incorrect readings. The job of all three gyroscopes is to measure Hubble’s turn rate. This is an essential process for Hubble. This ensures that the telescope is focusing in the correct direction.
Hubble’s science operations have halted as it enters safe mode, as the telescope now awaits new instructions. Although this is not the first time it has gone into safe mode. According to reports, the same thing happened on November 13 but the team operating the telescope recovered the spacecraft. On November 21, ‘Hubble’ again went into safe mode. That glitch was fixed a second time. The decrease that occurred on November 23 continues till now.
Talking about Hubble’s achievements, it has taken the largest near-infrared photo ever, which was released by a team of scientists this year. Near-infrared means astronomers can detect even the most distant galaxies. Till now such a big picture could be obtained only from the ground.
