Hyundai to Soon Start Delivery of Creta Electric, Starting Price of Rs 18 Lakh, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Tesla
Many features of this electric SUV are similar to its internal combustion engine (ICE) version. However, some upgrades have also been made in it. Hyundai has made changes in its cabin. Creta Electric will have a three-spoke steering wheel. In this, the gear selector will be given on the right side of the steering column. This is because the Creta Electric features a shift-by-wire system that uses electronic connections instead of a mechanical linkage between the gear shift and transmission. This electric SUV has a dual screen infotainment instrument cluster. It will have wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Special attention has been paid to the safety of passengers in Creta Electric. Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) and High Strength Steel (HSS) have been used in it. Because of this, the frame of Creta Electric is quite strong and it will give a safe driving experience. It has safety features like six airbags, ISOFIX, disc brakes, surround view monitor, rain sensing wipers. Along with this, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2 will also be available in Creta Electric.
It will compete with Tata Motors’ Curvv EV, MG Motor’s ZS EV, Mahindra & Mahindra’s BE 6 and Maruti Suzuki’s e Vitara. This five-seater electric SUV is available in four variants – Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence. It has been made available in eight monotone and two dual-tone colors. There are two battery pack options for the Creta Electric: 51.4 kWh and 42 kWh. The company has said that its 51.4 kWh battery pack variant has a range of approximately 473 kilometers on a single charge. Its 42 kWh battery pack will give a range of about 390 kilometers. This electric SUV can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 58 minutes using DC charging. EV sales have increased rapidly in the last few years.
