If you have a budget of Rs 10,000 then you can buy these best smartphones.

Most of the mobiles are launched in the less than Rs 10,000 category. Almost every day some new handset is launched under Rs 10,000 and there is no dearth of such options in the market. However, it becomes very difficult to choose which phone is suitable and right for us from so many options. To ease your problem of buying a phone, we have prepared a list of the best smartphones under Rs 10,000 category.

As always, we have included in the list only those handsets that we have tested in our detailed review process. Because the performance of a phone cannot be judged by its specification alone. Apart from this, we have not included phones older than one year in our list. We have placed Xiaomi’s latest smartphone Redmi Y1 first in this list. Please note that the list is not sorted by rating.

This is the list of five best smartphones under Rs 10,000
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 7/10
Yu Yureka Black 8/10
Lenovo K6 Power 8/10
Xiaomi Redmi 4 8/10
Coolpad Note 3S 7/10

1. Xiaomi Redmi Y1
Xiaomi’s first selfie phone Redmi Y1 has quickly found a place in the list priced under Rs 10,000. The specialty of the phone is the 16 megapixel selfie camera provided in the smartphone which comes with front flash and real-time beautification.

If seen, Redmi Y1 is Xiaomi’s first attempt at making a selfie-centric phone. The hardware is reliable and more than capable of handling most tasks. MIUI 9 is quite smooth and users will soon get used to it. Camera performance is good in daylight, but average in low light. Talking about selfies, flash proves helpful and beautify mode also works to some extent. But the output is not always good. The smartphone scored 7 out of 10 in our review. And battery life and software got 8 ratings. The 3GB RAM and 32GB variant of Redmi Y1 is priced at Rs 10,000 and is a good option.

2. Yu Eureka Black
The last one year was full of anonymity for the U Televentures brand. But the company made a comeback. Yu Yureka Black is a great option for this price range. The display is a bit disappointing, but in other departments it justifies its price. This is also an all-round handset.

Yu Yureka Black looks good and its battery life is also strong. If you are looking for a phone that is made for every purpose then this is a great option in the price range of Rs 10,000.

3. Xiaomi Redmi 4
For the last one year, Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime continued to be a part of our list. But now its place has been taken by Xiaomi Redmi 4. If your budget is Rs 10,000 then this is a great option. If seen, Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is in direct competition with this handset.

In our review, the phone with 3 GB / 32 GB variants got 8 rating points out of 10. The battery life of the new phone is excellent. You will also like its slick and compact design. The camera is disappointing, but this is a problem with every smartphone in the Rs 10,000 price range. If you are looking for a value for money smartphone then Xiaomi Redmi 4 is a great option.

4. Lenovo K6 Power
This is one of the best smartphones introduced in the past. Despite being old, the claim of Lenovo K6 Power has not weakened. The performance is decent and the battery life has to be said to be strong.

Its display and camera also got good ratings in the review. But times have changed. Despite this, Lenovo K6 Power is a great option. It is not that this Lenovo phone completely beats the other phones included in this list. But it is a good option and it also recently got the update to Android 7.0 Nougat. Whereas most phones still come with Android Marshmallow. Apart from this, it is also very easy to buy.

5. Coolpad Note 3S
Coolpad Note 3S was launched in late 2016. It also gives decent performance in every department. The unique looks and camera performance in daylight work in its favor.

Due to weak battery life and average performance, it does not succeed in making a place on the top. But the difference is not that much. If you like design and UI then this price range of Rs 10,000 is a great option.

other options
Apart from these phones, there are some handsets which can be considered. Micromax Canvas 6 Pro is not a bad option. RAM is plenty, but battery life and camera will disappoint. This phone also gets hot, due to which it could not become a part of our list. If you want a good display and performance then Moto G4 can also be considered. The phone’s camera will also not disappoint you. However, this is an old handset.

By the way, there are two phones in the price range of Rs 10,000 which we have not reviewed, but we liked during the time we spent during the launch event. We are talking about Lyf F1s and Moto C Plus. Specifications of both the phones are good and the price of Moto C Plus is also attractive. Nokia 3 is also fully capable of being a part of this list. But according to the rating, we gave this phone only 10 to 6.
