Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has been introduced as a phone with a powerful battery, but despite having a 6.44 inch display, it is a thin and sturdy phone in appearance. As we mentioned in the review, the phone’s camera is a bit disappointing, but its battery life is excellent. And the display and performance is also good. If you are fond of watching videos then this is a good option for less than Rs 20,000.
This phone has a 2 GHz octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM and a 12 megapixel rear camera along with a 5 megapixel front camera. This phone has 64 GB inbuilt storage and 5300 mAh battery.
3. Samsung Galaxy On Max
The newest phone on this list, the Samsung Galaxy On Max is a great all-rounder with a great design and display. In our review, we mentioned the camera as the most important feature of the phone and this is probably the best camera phone for less than Rs 20,000. Battery life is satisfactory.
The phone has 13 megapixel front and rear camera. And this phone has 1.69 GHz octa-core processor and 4 GB RAM. It has a 5.7 inch full HD display. The 3300 mAh battery did not give us the results we expected during actual usage; the battery performance could have been better.
4. Motorola G5 Plus
Perhaps a budget-friendly list remains incomplete without Motorola phones, and this is also true. The Moto G5 Plus is a good all-rounder phone that doesn’t have too many shortcomings. But it will not disappoint you and it has made its place in the list of best mobiles under Rs 20,000.
The phone has a 2 GHz octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and 5.2 inch full HD display. This phone has a 12 megapixel camera on the rear and 5 megapixel front camera and 3000 mAh battery.
Affordable options
If you don’t like the options mentioned above, you can also consider these three affordable handsets. The Lenovo Z2 Plus has seen a significant price cut since launch, but it’s still a great option. Camera is one department which could have been improved. But both battery life and performance are great.
Redmi Note 4 is also an option that comes with great features at a budget price. The biggest flaw we saw in this phone in our review is the camera. Therefore, if you are looking for a value for money phone with long battery life and good design, then you can consider this phone.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is a great all-rounder. In our review we noticed that the phone does not perform well in low light. But its screen, battery life and performance are excellent.

The phones mentioned above are the best under Rs 20,000. But if your budget is less then you can know about phones under Rs 15,000 and phones under Rs 10,000. In the under Rs 20,000 category, both the Huawei Honor 8 Lite and Asus ZenFone 3 Max have low overall ratings but perform well in many departments. Apart from this, Oppo F3 is also a great option.
