Indian PC market saw 6.6 percent YoY decline in 2023 HP beats Lenovo Dell says IDC report

IDC issued by the Report Separate figures of desktop, notebook and workstation shipments have been released. In which desktop shipments have registered a year over year growth of 6.7 percent. Notebook shipments have declined by 11.1 percent. Along with this, a decline of 14 percent has been registered in the workstation market. Decline has also been recorded in the consumer and commercial segment. At the same time, there has been an increase in the education and government sectors. The education sector has registered a growth of 80.5 percent while the government segment has registered a growth of 18 percent.
If we talk about the performance of companies in the PC market, according to the report, HP is leading here with a market share of 31.5 percent. Its desktops have a market share of 25.1 percent while notebooks have a market share of 33.8 percent. But it has suffered a loss of 2.5 percent in year-over-year performance. Lenovo is in second place here with a market share of 16.7 percent. The company has registered a decline of 17.8 percent year-over-year.
Dell is at third position with 15.5 percent market share. Year over year it has suffered a loss of 24.5 percent. Acer Group has a market share of 12.3 percent and is at fourth position. The company has achieved year over year growth of 16.1 percent here. An increase has been observed in the demand for its commercial desktops. ASUS comes at fifth position here with a market share of 7.9 percent. Year over year the company has got a growth of 8.6 percent. In the consumer segment, the company has got the second position which comes after HP with 15.1 percent.
