Instagram Unveiled DM Features Translation Scheduled Messages Group QR Codes

META on Wednesday announced a new update for Instagram DM, introducing several features designed to improve communication. These include messages translation, music stickers, schedule messages, pind content and group chat QR code. This feature gradually iOS and Android Both are available to users, web access is expected to be available later.

Instant message translation
Instagram now provides a message translation facility in 99 languages, making it easier to communicate with friends and family worldwide. To use the feature, keep the message hold in a foreign language and tap on the translate. Translation will be seen below original text. META has reported that the translated message is shared with it to help improve the company’s translation service.

Share music in DM
Users can now share songs directly in chat. Open the sticker tray to send the track, tap on music, find a song in the audio library of Instagram and send a preview of 30 seconds. The preview is seen as a vinyl while moving and can interact with stickers to run, stop, fast-forward or rewind the receiver track.

Message schedule
A new scheduling feature allows users to send messages at a fixed time. To schedule a message, type the content, keep the sand button hold, select the date and time and tap on the sand. Scheduled messages are seen only by the sender until they are delivered. These messages can be accessed under the schedule message at the bottom of the chat.

Pin the message in chat
After the introduction of pinned chat thread, Instagram now allows users to pin special messages inside the conversion. Keep holding a message, photo, mim or reel and select the pin. Pinned messages appear as a banner on the top of the chat and are easily accessible at any time. Users can pin a maximum of three messages per chat, with the oldest with a new pin. Supported pinned content includes text, photos, videos, voice memo, GIF, stickers, links, reels, posts, music and audio files.

Group Chat QR Code Invite
Instagram now provides QR code for group chat, making it easier to invite new members. Open the group chat to generate the QR code, tap in the name of the group, select the invite link and tap on the QR code. The code can be privately shared through DM or saved for later. Group administrators have the facility to refresh the QR code at any time to manage access.
