Intex Cloud Flash Review

Look and Design
Intex has made great improvements in the build and finish department. With smooth, curved edges and Gorilla Glass protection on the front and back panels, the Cloud Flash doesn’t look cheap in the least. The phone slips a little in the hands because of the glass.

The handset has a 5 inch HD AMOLED display. It gives saturated colors and the viewing angles are also good. You will get a 5 megapixel sensor on the front panel. Navigation can be done with onscreen buttons. Notification LED is not present in the device.
The volume and power buttons are on the right side. His response is good. The microSD card slot and micro-SIM tray are present on one side of the handset. There is a mono speaker at the bottom and the headphone socket and charging port are at the top. There is nothing on the rear panel except the 13-megapixel primary camera and flash.

Along with the phone you will get charger, data cable, headset, screen guard and manual. Not much can be said about the quality of the accessories, but they will definitely last if taken care of. Due to the glass backpanel on the body of Cloud Flash, fingerprints easily fall on it.
Specifications and Software
The hardware on Intex Cloud Flash is perfect for delivering an enjoyable Android experience. The inbuilt storage of the handset is 16 GB and it comes with octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset and 2 GB RAM. The good thing is that the storage of the handset can be expanded with an SD card up to 128 GB. Other specifications include 4G support in both SIM card slots, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, FM radio, GPS, and a 2300 mAh battery.

Now let’s talk about software. You will get to experience stock Android Lollipop 5.1.1. Some gesture features are also present. You will also be able to adjust the display. Many motion and wake gestures are provided. SOS support is present in this handset which is not commonly seen. With its help, you will be able to send your location to the emergency contact in case of any emergency. For this, you have to press both the volume buttons for three seconds.
performance
The Cloud Flash is a capable handset. It handles multitasking easily during use. The interface is smooth and there is no problem in reading the display in sunlight. The call quality is satisfactory and we have no complaints with network connectivity. Although we did not face the problem of the phone overheating, the phone does get a little hot while using the camera.

The octa-core processor gave good results in benchmarks. Loud sound comes from the speaker. This was possible due to software improvements in the settings menu. It cannot be called the best for music and cinema, but it does its job well during phone calls and messages. The phone plays full-HD videos smoothly.
The 13-megapixel rear camera takes good photos of landscapes and macros in daylight. Details were good in close up shots. However, distant subjects do not appear very sharp. The sensor gives good performance in terms of colors, especially in HDR mode. Performance is a bit weak in low light, as the camera app takes more time to save photos.

The quality of video recording is good. You can focus by tapping during recording. You will get panorama, live photo, motion tracking and multi angle view modes in the camera app. Most modes work well, except motion tracking. The front camera also works well, but don’t expect great quality.

The 2300 mAh battery inside the handset lasted for 7 hours 24 minutes in our video loop test. In normal use the phone’s battery had to be charged once again before the end of the day. And it takes longer than usual to fully charge.
Decision
There are no major drawbacks to Intex Cloud Flash. This handset has the same flaws that we usually see in other devices in this price range. Apart from the average battery life and mediocre camera performance, this smartphone performs its role well. Intex’s decision regarding design does not seem right, because this handset has no distinct identity.
We believe that Lenovo K3 Note is still a better option in this price range. The reason for this is better display and effective software features.
