iPhone users of WhatsApp got a new feature

WhatsApp is working on adding new features to the beta version of its app. Now a report has come out according to which, the company has released a new update of WhatsApp Beta for iPhone. This update adds a new ‘context menu’ to chats inside the app. Let us tell you that this context menu has been seen in one of the older versions of the app, but it was later removed. However, WhatsApp did not give the reason for removing it. Now it has been added back in the latest WhatsApp Beta update. Apart from this, share sheet integration has been removed from WhatsApp in the new update.

WABetaInfo’s Report According to, the new iPhone comes with WhatsApp beta update version number 2.20.50.21. It has been informed in the report that the new update adds a new context menu with ‘Info’ option in WhatsApp. When you long tap on a message inside a chat, a context menu pops up and previously included the options ‘Star’, ‘Reply’, ‘Forward’, ‘Copy’ and ‘Delete’. But now ‘Info’ option has also been added to it.

This new context menu option was also part of the older update, but was removed by WhatsApp for unknown reasons. The new context menu will appear in both single and group chats on WhatsApp Beta 2.20.50.21 for iPhone.

Coming to the next change. It has also been informed in the report that along with adding the new feature, WhatsApp has removed an old feature through this update. This feature called Share Sheet was introduced in the previous 2.20.40 update, but it has now been removed. The reason for this has also been explained. It has been removed because the problem of share screen crashing was continuously occurring. Share sheet is a type of menu that comes like a pop-up menu while sharing a file and helps users to share files with other users in a single click.
