ISRO Aditya Mission spacecraft will be leaving earth orbit tonight forever to reach sun L1 point

After that the journey of 15 lakh kilometers of Aditya spacecraft will begin, which is expected to be completed in 110 days. In a post on social media platform X, the space agency has said that the insertion process is to be done at around 2 am tonight.
Aditya spacecraft was launched on 2 September this month from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. Since then, its orbit change procedures have been completed four times. The TL1I procedure to be performed tonight will be the beginning of Aditya’s L1 point journey.

The objective of the mission is to study the photosphere, chromosphere and corona of the Sun. This is India’s first space based observatory. Once the observatory starts its work, it will also share information related to space weather. Aditya will keep a special eye on the events happening in the Sun like coronal mass ejection, solar flare.
L1 point is 15 lakh kilometers away from the Earth. From here the sun can always be kept an eye on. When the mission starts its work, ISRO will be able to know solar activities in real time. Aditya Spacecraft has taken with it 7 scientific instruments. All of these are indigenous and have been prepared by various departments of India. With the help of instruments, different parts of the Sun will be studied.
