ISRO not in a Hurry to Send Its Gaganyaan Project to Space

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has decided not to rush into its Gaganyaan project. This is a mission with passengers in space. ISRO has designed this mission in such a way that it will be successful in the first attempt itself. For this, testing and demonstration have been increased.

ISRO Chairman, S Somanath told reporters that Gaganyaan was to be launched two years ago but it has been delayed due to Corona. He said, “Our thinking is different now. We believe that we do not want to rush. We have taken a decision. The main objective of this human space flight is a completely certain safe mission.” He said that testing related to this mission has been increased. This includes additional trial missions to ensure crew safety. Two such missions will take place this year and may be followed by an unmanned mission early next year.

Somnath said that ISRO All engine tests have been completed. He told, “Eight major tests are to be conducted and if all the tests are conducted successfully without any problem then this mission can be launched between 2024 and 2025.” The third edition of India’s Moon mission can be launched in July. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has given this information. Its three objectives are safe landing on the lunar surface, demonstration of rotation of the spacecraft on the Moon and conducting scientific experiments. This mission will be launched using LVM3 rocket from SDSC SHAR Center in Sriharikota.

Chandrayaan 3 is to be launched after Chandrayaan 2 to demonstrate the capability of safe landing and movement on the lunar surface. Recently Somnath had told that Chandrayaan 3 will be launched in July. Chandrayaan 3 mission includes a lander module, propulsion module and a rover developed in the country. ISRO has successfully launched NVS-01 of the second generation satellite series into geosynchronous orbit. NVS-01 was launched last week by a geosynchronous launch vehicle from the Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDC SHAR) in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
