ISRO OneWeb 36 satellites launch scheduled for sunday 26th March 2023 full details
In a tweet on Monday, ISRO said that the LVM3-M3/OneWeb India-2 mission is to be launched on March 26 at 9 am from the second launch pad of Sriharikota. This will be the 18th launch of OneWeb. The company has launched 582 satellites so far. Recently, on March 9, the Falcon-9 rocket of Elon Musk’s company SpaceX delivered 40 OneWeb satellites into their orbit.
According to reports, if this launch is successful, UK based OneWeb will complete a constellation of more than 600 satellites in space. These are all low-Earth-orbit satellites, through which OneWeb wants to expand satellite internet service to countries around the world. Bharti Enterprise, which owns Airtel, has also given financial support to OneWeb.
The Government of India has formed NSIL as the commercial arm of ISRO. NSIL had signed a contract worth more than Rs 1,000 crore with OneWeb, under which 72 satellites were to be sent into space twice. In October last year, a batch of 36 OneWeb satellites was launched from Sriharikota. OneWeb has already thanked ISRO and NSIL.
Over the weekend, @isro‘s LVM3-M3 rocket was rolled out ahead of #OneWebLaunch18

The aim of the company, in collaboration with Bharti Enterprise, is to provide internet through satellite from cities to villages in those areas where people are still struggling with connectivity problems. OneWeb has launched its service in many countries. These include areas of Alaska, Canada and Europe. It is to be expected that Sunday’s successful launch will further strengthen ISRO’s capability in front of the whole world and ISRO will move rapidly towards space launch.
