ISRO Successfully Tests Important System on First Indian Human Spaceflight Mission Gaganyaan

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has successfully tested the propulsion system of Gaganyaan, the country’s first space flight mission with astronauts. This testing was done on Wednesday at ISRO’s Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu. In this mission, a three-member crew will be sent to an orbit of 400 kilometers for three days and after that they will be brought safely to Earth.

ISRO “These tests will improve the performance of the propulsion system and will ensure readiness for the Gaganyaan mission,” said . This is called ‘hot tastes’. These were the second and third hot tests in the service module of this mission. The first hot test was conducted last month. After this three more hot tests are to be conducted.

Earlier this month, ISRO launched Chandrayaan-3 from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. With this, India will become the fourth country to land its spacecraft on the surface of the Moon. Chandrayaan-3 aims to demonstrate the country’s capability of landing and roving on the lunar surface. The rover will come out after the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the lunar surface and is expected to operate on the moon for 14 days. Images can be taken from many cameras installed on this rover. This can provide important information about the Moon.

Chandrayaan-2, the country’s second mission to the Moon, was launched about four years ago. However, this mission failed due to the crash of Vikram Lunar Lander on the Moon. ISRO has decided not to rush into the Gaganyaan project. This mission has been designed in such a way that it will be successful in the first attempt itself. For this, testing and demonstration have been increased. Recently, ISRO Director, S Somanath had told that Gaganyaan was to be launched two years ago but it has been delayed due to Corona. He had said, “Our thinking is different now. We do not want to rush. We have taken a decision. The main objective of this human space flight is a completely certain safe mission.” In the last few years, the country has increased its expertise in space-related missions.
