It is not necessary that you get the Windows 10 upgrade only on July 29.

Myerson said, “We want every consumer to have the best upgrade experience. So we will roll out Windows 10 in phases to manage demand.”
On July 29, the latest version of the operating system will be available first to members of the Windows Insider Program. The company says that users who have registered for the upgrade will be given download information gradually. Microsoft says the upgrade process will depend on rollout performance.
“Beginning on July 29, we will be the first to make Windows 10 available to members of the Windows Insider Program,” Myerson said. After this, the latest version will be made available to the users who have registered on a phase basis. This process will be expedited after July 29. “We will continue to share with Windows 10 users about their experiences every day during the rollout.”
If a user has reserved a copy of Windows 10, Microsoft will notify the user after checking system compatibility and downloading the new OS on the system. If for any reason the system is not suitable for a Windows 10 upgrade, Microsoft will inform the user about the standards required for the upgrade.
Myerson also revealed that businesses that have registered for Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Education will have to wait a little longer. These versions will be rolled out from August 1.
