Not only this, by the year 2031, JAXA wants to target another asteroid ‘1998 KY26’, which often crosses the Earth’s orbit.

Asteroid 1998 KY26 is currently about 3 lakh 74 thousand kilometers away from the Earth. Its diameter is about 30 meters. The purpose of this mission of JAXA is to make the Earth safe. The space agency believes that such space rocks collide with the Earth every 100 to 1,000. These can harm our planet.
