According to the report, Maezawa had booked a private trip around the moon in 2018 aboard the Starship megarocket of American space company SpaceX. This project has been cancelled. The name of the project was dearMoon.

The main reason for the cancellation of the trip is being said to be the Starship rocket, which is not yet ready for flight. Starship is the world’s heaviest rocket, which is being built by Elon Musk’s space company. This rocket has undergone several flight tests, but is not ready yet. It is to be tested again in the next few weeks.
