Reliance Jio has launched a useful device for car drivers in India, named JioMotive. This device claims to turn a normal car into a smart car, as it has many advanced features, which take care of the car owner’s entertainment as well as security. JioMotive is a plug-and-play OBD device, which means on-board diagnostics. This device gives real-time information about the car’s performance and other things. It also has a GPS tracker.

JioMotive connects to your mobile device through an app. After this, the car owner can get many important information about his car on his smartphone. This is real-time information, such as the health of the car or its behavior. In simple words, this device can detect any internal faults present in the car. If there is any technical fault in the car, then you do not need to open the entire car, rather you can see on your mobile phone which part of the car is faulty.

Not only this, you can also create a geo fencing for your car on the app. If the car goes out of the boundary set on the map, you will get an alert on the mobile device. It also shows the real-time speed of the car. If the car goes above a certain speed, the device sends an alert.

• First, download and install the JioThings app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
• Login or signup into JioThings with your Jio number.
• Now tap on “+” inside the app and select JioMotive.
• Enter the IMEI number given on the Geomotive box or device and tap “Proceed”.
• Enter your car details like registration number, car name (give name of your choice), model name, fuel type, year of manufacture etc. Then tap on “Save”.
• Plug the JioMotive device into your car’s OBD port. Then turn on the car and keep it on until you finish the next steps.
• Then, on your mobile app, tick ‘Agree’ to the terms and conditions of the Jio EverywhereConnect number sharing plan and tap “Enable”.
• Tap on “JioJCR1440” and then tap on “Proceed”
• Now you will get a confirmation message on the screen for activation request by Jio.
• Keep your car running for 10 minutes to activate the device. Your data will start syncing to the JioThings app in about 1 hour.
