Reliance Jio has launched a handy device for car drivers in India, named JioMotive. This device claims to transform a normal car into a smart car, because it has many advanced features, which take care of the car owner’s entertainment as well as security. JioMotive is a plug-and-play OBD device, which stands for On-board Diagnostics. This device gives real-time information about the car’s performance and other things. GPS tracker is also present in it.

JioMotive connects with your mobile device through an app. After this, the car owner can get many important information about his car on his smartphone. These are real-time information, such as the health of the car or its behavior. In simple words, this device can detect any internal faults present in the car. • First of all, download and install JioThings app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
• Login or signup to JioThings with your Jio number.
• Now tap on “+” inside the app and select JioMotive.
• Enter the IMEI number given on the Jiomotive box or device and tap “Proceed”.
• Enter your car details like registration number, car name (name of your choice), model name, fuel type, year of manufacture etc. After this tap on “Save”.
• Plug the JioMotive device into the OBD port of your car. After this, start the car and keep it running until the further steps are finished.
• After this, tick ‘Agree’ with the terms and conditions of Jio EverywhereConnect number sharing plan on your mobile app and tap “Enable”.
• Tap on “JioJCR1440” and then tap on “Proceed”
• Now you will get a confirmation message on the screen for activation request by Jio.
• Leave your car running for 10 minutes to activate the device. Your data will start syncing to the JioThings app in about 1 hour.
