Vivo today launched its new selfie smartphone Vivo V5 in India. Chinese company Vivo intends to woo selfie lovers through this smartphone. Apart from this, it aims to compete with other companies like Oppo and Gionee which have recently launched selfie focus smartphones. The company is calling Vivo V5 a ‘perfect selfie’ smartphone. The price of Vivo V5 is Rs 17,980. The first sale of V5 will be on November 26 but the phone will be available for pre-booking in 22 cities from Wednesday. This smartphone has been launched only in India. This phone will be available in Crown Gold and Space Gray color variants.

Vivo V5 has a 20 megapixel selfie camera. There’s also ‘Moonlight Glow’ to enhance selfies taken in different lighting conditions. front camera
In Vivo V5, the company has given a 20-megapixel front camera which comes with front ‘Moonlight Glow’ flash. The company claims that this will help in taking better selfies in low light. The front camera comes with aperture F/2.0, Sony IMX376 sensor and 5P lens. Apart from this, Face Beauty 6.0 app is also provided for ‘Perfect Selfie’. Vivo has also provided a 13-megapixel rear camera in this phone.

Smart Split Feature
Users can do multitasking through the ‘Smart Screen-Split’ feature given in Vivo V5. That means two apps can be used simultaneously. For this you will not even have to close the app first. The company says that with this feature, users can chat as well as watch videos on one screen. The phone can work on split screen mode.

RAM and storage
Vivo has given 4 GB RAM in the phone to make multitasking easier. The inbuilt storage to store photos, videos and apps in the phone is 32 GB which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

fingerprint sensor
In V5, the fingerprint sensor has been integrated into the home button itself. Vivo claims that with this fast fingerprint sensor the phone can be unlocked in 0.2 seconds.
