Know the top features of Xiaomi Mi 5S and Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus
Two variants of Xiaomi Mi 5S will be available whose price will start from 1,999 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 20,000). Two variants of Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus have also been introduced. Their price starts from 2,299 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 22,900). At present, these smartphones have been made available in China. No information has been given yet regarding India.

The new Xiaomi Mi 5S has a 5.15 inch full-HD display. The same size screen was also used in Xiaomi Mi 5. The pixel density of Mi 5 and Mi 5S is 428 ppi. It is worth noting that the 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant of Mi 5S has a pressure sensitive display. However, the company has not said anything about the additional interface options present in this particular display.

On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus has a 5.7-inch full-HD display. Its pixel density is 386 ppi.
Processor, memory and storage
Snapdragon 821 processor has been used in Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus. However, the clock speed of both the processors is slightly different. The clock speed of Mi 5S is 2.15 GHz and that of Mi 5S Plus is 2.3 GHz. Remember that Mi 5 was launched with 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
Two variants each of the new Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus have been introduced. 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage models of Mi 5S have been introduced. One variant of Mi 5S Plus has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, while the other variant is equipped with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
Remember that three variants of Mi 5 were launched in China – 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage, 3 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. However, the company had launched only the model with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage in India.
fingerprint scanner
Xiaomi Mi 5S has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It is integrated into the home button. The sensor is present under the glass and it is claimed that it will not get damaged during use. Xiaomi has also claimed that it works as accurately and fast as a common fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor in Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus is present on the rear panel.
The fingerprint scanner in Xiaomi Mi 5 was integrated into the home button.
camera
Xiaomi Mi 5S has a 12-megapixel rear camera which is equipped with Sony IMX 378 CMOS sensor, F/2.0 aperture and PDAF. With this camera you will also be able to record videos in 4K resolution. There is a 4 megapixel camera on its front panel which is equipped with large 2 micron pixels. Xiaomi has said that Mi 5S comes with ultra-light sensitive camera.
Mi 5S Plus has a dual-camera setup. The job of one camera is to take color photos and the other to take black and white photos. And ultimately to deliver better color accuracy and depth sensing. Both the sensors are of 13 megapixels. These will come with PDAF, HDR, RAW image support and dual-LED flash. It also has a 4 megapixel front camera. Like the Mi 5S, it is possible to record videos in 4K, 1080 pixels and 720 pixels with the camera of Mi 5S Plus.
The Mi 5 smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera which is equipped with optical image stabilization, F/2.0 aperture and two-tone flash. A 4 megapixel front camera is also a part of this handset.
Battery
Talking about battery, the battery capacity has been increased in Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus compared to Mi 5. Mi 5S has a 3200 mAh battery and Mi 5S Plus has a 3800 mAh battery. Remember that the Mi 5 phone comes with a 3000 mAh battery.
Like the Mi 5, the Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus also support USB Type-C port. And all three phones will come with Quick Charge 3.0.

Metal brushed body has been used in the new Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus. The dimensions of Mi 5S are 145.6×70.3×8.2 mm and weight is 145 grams. Whereas, the dimension of Mi 5 is 144.5×69.2×7.2 mm and weight is 129 grams. The dimensions of Mi 5S Plus are 154.6×77.7×7.9 mm and weight is 168 grams. Both the SIM slots in Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus support 4G.
